Valentine’s Day Kids Party-Breakfast-“Cereal-ously Sweet”

Hello Friends! Are you planning a special Valentine’s Day party for your kiddos? I am so EXCITED to share a very special party that I styled for Twinkle Twinkle Little Party Magazine. The theme for this party is called, “Cereal-ously Sweet Valentine’s Day Breakfast”. It is an alternative that young and old will enjoy!

Let’s get started….and yes, there is a lot of photos! What can I say, we had so much fun!

I started with a “Cereal Bar” that is full of kid friendly favorites, such as an assortment of cereals in Valentine colors, fresh fruit, and yogurt parfaits.

I included a few “sweets” as well! What would Valentine’s Day be without beautifully decorated cookies!

I had so much fun setting up the breakfast table! I started with a printable placemat and added these adorable red crates that I purchased at www.michaels.com So cute, right? I added mini, chocolate & strawberry jam croissants and fruit cups. For a special touch, wrap the croissants in tissue paper tied with baker’s twine.

Using these adorable plastic bottles filled with strawberry milk is a great option for a Valentine’s Day breakfast. A printable flag attached to a heart paper straw is another fun detail that kids will love!

A donut tower is an easy centerpiece to put together for the table! Donuts for breakfast? Absolutely!

I love to use cupcake toppers but didn’t want frosted cupcakes for the breakfast. I baked chocolate muffins and using a mini cookie cutter, I dusted powdered sugar on the muffins creating a sweet, heart shape.

Printable water bottle labels are a must for any celebration!

The “XOXO” ceramic dishes from hooplaevents.net are perfect for this breakfast party!

Having craft tables is another must for parties and I incorporated two separate stations. These printable Valentine’s Day cards were placed in the heart envelopes!

Using inexpensive fabric, white bags, and embellishments,  guests can make their own personal envelopes! Simply untie them from the chairs and the children can bring these home. We placed all of their party favors in the bags so nothing would be left behind!

One of my favorite ideas from this party, was the little burlap bags with mini cereal boxes! So cute with the tags that read, “Cereal-ously, You’re My Valentine”.

Here’s a few more inspiration photos…

Thank you so much for letting me share this oh so sweet, “Cereal-ously” fun breakfast party with you! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Soccer Theme Birthday Party-Last Minute Party Comes Together

Hello Friends! Today’s post is all about last minute party planning. I know I am not the only one that has faced this situation, but this is the first time I was the one frantically organizing a birthday party and it happened to be Christian’s 9th birthday party! March is always a busy month for us, but this year we were hit HARD with the flu bug. I was out for 2 weeks and it happened during the week of Christian’s party. Ugh! All of the countless ideas that I had planned to do or make were thrown out since I knew I would not be able to put everything together. To be honest, I was not going to post this party, but the more I thought about it, I realized this does happen, so let’s share a few tips + tricks when faced with this situation.

Oh, did I mention, another challenge was this party was not held at our house. It took place at our community soccer centre,  so I only had 30 minutes to set up a simple, dessert table in a room with yellow tinted walls and poor lighting. Cringe! Fortunately, the large printable poster added color and was a perfect backdrop for the dessert table.

I used the most popular printables that we sell as these really are the decorations that make the most impact on a table. When pressed for time, use cupcake toppers, water bottle labels, a banner, and few other printables for cake toppers and gumball containers. Voila! You have a dessert table in minutes!

Several weeks before the party, I had ordered chocolate covered oreos, fondant toppers, and delicious sugar cookies from Alison at Whippt  so these were easy to incorporate on the table. I also included a cello wrapped cookie in each of the favor bags.

Tanya from the Cake Bake Shoppe was able to decorate a simple, fun cake that worked well with the table. It was delicious, too! Yummy! I topped it off with printable flags and a 4 inch circle from the collection.

One of my absolute favorite items on the table were these Marquee Leters from Michaels We have since added these to Christian’s room. These are a fun addition for boys’ bedroom decor!

Candy jars filled with green, black, and white gum balls were topped off with printable flags.

I did not have time or the right space to hang the soccer paper lanterns, so I lined them down the center of the table. Takes seconds to do!

What’s a sports themed party without popcorn? Our family LOVES popcorn (I think I have said that many times before!) These coordinating black striped bags are super easy to serve popcorn in. I love how the star matches the star on some of the printables! It’s the little details that make a party! Even when you have very little time.

For the favor bags, I filled crisp, white bags with soccer theme goodies topped off with coordinating printables. I love the Black striped ribbon from Michaels

Christian handed out soccer balls (purchased at Wal Mart) and the favor bags at the end of the party.

Happy Birthday to our sweet boy and thank you for being the BEST kid ever!

Love you, xoxo

Also, a BIG thank you to all the moms/friends that helped me pull off this party at the last minute. I couldn’t have done it without you!

Here are a few of the details that I was able to put together for this soccer theme party:

  • Large poster and a selection of personalized printables
  • Delicious sweets including a small cake, cupcakes, cookies, and chocolate covered oreos
  • Marquee letters are a must! They come in various sizes and colors. Bonus: they can be used for parties and room decor. Buy them on sale or with your weekly Michaels coupon!
  • Easy treat bags filled with candy, cookies, soccer temporary tattoos, and a gift card to a local juice bar (A little nutrition makes all moms feel better, doesn’t it?). Include inexpensive soccer balls. P.S. Forget the dollar store toys that fall apart within minutes. These may seem like a good, cost-savings idea, but they really aren’t.
  • Finally…if possible, don’t be afraid to ask for help! No one is super woman and it is okay to lean on friends. Before you know it, everything will be set up and you will have had a few giggles along the way.

Thank you for letting me be honest and feel free to share your best tips!

Happy Planning,

Antonia

Christmas Tea Party {FREE PRINTABLES}

The holiday season is here and I am very happy to share with you today the photos and FREE printables from a shoot that I styled earlier this year for Twinkle Twinkle Little Party Magazine. It was a thrill to work once again with Andressa, editor and creative genius of TTLP Magazine . If you haven’t had a chance, you must see this magazine! Grab a cup of your favorite tea and enjoy the talents of so many amazing stylists.

The theme this year was “Christmas in the Spring” and I decided to style a tea party play date for girls to enjoy and to start thinking about their Christmas wish list. Since it was summer, I wanted to use bright, jewel tones, rather than the traditional Christmas colors of red and green. I also kept the designs simple without a lot of Christmas graphics, so the printables can be used all year!

I began by styling a small dessert table filled with delicious treats and a few touches of Christmas details!

Carnival Birthday Party!

Today, I am sharing the Carnival Fun birthday party I styled for my son’s birthday last year! I did not have my blog up and running at that time, so I could not share this with you. Fast forward one year and here we are. Better late than never, right?!?!

Christian requested a FUN Carnival Birthday theme and who doesn’t love a Carnival?!?!?  His favorite colors are red and blue (all shades of blue, actually), so I designed this theme around traditional, carnival colors, with the addition of a colorful balloon graphic. The balloons were requested by Christian, since he LOVES them! I also wanted to add a pop of color and the balloons were just perfect! One of the displays that caught my eye a few years ago, was this fabulous here: dessert table. I love the simplicity of the display and the addition of color with the gum balls.

The cake was a hit and I love how Brenda at Cakeworks incorporated all of the colors and kept the design simple…just the way I like it!

Another favorite item from the party was the ferris wheel cupcake holder that I purchased on Amazon. It was a perfect focal point on the dessert table and the guests loved it (kids + parents alike!) Great find!

Cakeworks also made these delicious cookies in 3 designs: the carnival tent, “7”, and “C”. Christian absolutely LOVED seeing his age and initial on the cookies! So special for him.  I am always amazed at the talent that the cake/cookie designers have. Always impressed with their work!

Marbella Printables

I did design cupcake toppers for the printable package and used them on the glass candy jars. However, at the last minute, I decided I wanted the cupcakes to resemble carnival tents. I used red, striped paper straws (cut in two), added a dab of icing, placed a cherry sour on top, and wrapped the printable flags around the straws. I was very pleased with these and it was an easy diy project that you can do, too!

I designed a large 20×30 poster welcoming everyone to the party. Additional items on the front table were chocolate bar wrappers, ceramic letter dishes, and gable boxes for the party favors. What’s a carnival party without cotton candy??? I designed cello bag toppers and used little clothes pins to hang the bags on jute twine! Super fun! NOTE: these were a HUGE hit with the kiddies!

On the large, red gable boxes for the favors, I added printable labels with each child’s name and a personalized tag! Find the gable boxes here.

The table settings included a coordinating printable placemat, red striped/polka dot/stars plates, napkins, and party hats.  I love to add confetti to party tables. Using a 1″ circle punch and tissue paper, I made confetti with all of the colors from the collection.Very easy project to do and makes an impact! Popcorn, pretzels, and red beverages (served in empty soda pop bottle) were included on the menu.

Printable water bottle labels are one of the most popular items that is sold in the shoppe and these carnival labels have been very popular since I listed the collection last year.

Christian and I had a little fun before his guests arrived putting together a little tray of goodies with him very loudly saying,  “peanuts, popcorn, licorice!” when the door opened. There were a lot of giggles with his friends over this tray! Everyone had to have a turn! Fun games included: sack races, egg/spoon races, a bouncy castle, tattoo/sticker station (non-permanent!), and a balloon artist!

This collection is one of our most popular packages as it is full of personalized printables! I hope you have enjoyed these photos and are inspired to plan a FUN Carnival birthday party!

I can’t believe this party took place a year ago. We are now in full planning mode for his 8th birthday party taking place next weekend. Stay tuned and I will be sharing those photos with you in a few weeks. Can’t wait!

Valentine’s Day “Fun” Candy Printable {Freebie}

Valentine’s Day school celebrations are this week…are you ready? Need a last minute Valentine printable for your kiddos? I designed a new, FREE printable for Christian’s classmates and you can download it, too! I purchased a box of Fun Dip Candy at Party City (you can find this candy at most grocery and candy stores). The box had 2 flavors and 2 different color schemes, so I designed the tags using those colors. Simply print the tags on 8.5 x 11 white, matte photo paper (I prefer Staples brand) or heavy weight (100lb) bright, white card stock. Cut each tag out with a 2″ punch, use a cute paper bag or Valentine cello bag, bakers twine and you are set! Happy Valentine’s Day!
